Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday expressed hope that with Narendra Modi becoming Prime Minister of the country, the insurgency problem in Chhattisgarh and other states could be eradicated soon.

While giving interview to a team from Doordarshan New Delhi in Raipur , the Chief Minister said that people in the entire country know that who has been fighting against Naxals in Bastar and Sarguja region of Chhattisgarh.

“We (State Government), with the cooperation of people, have almost freed Sarguja from the Naxalite problem and in Bastar also, the State Government had moved forward to a large extent in this direction,'' he said.

Singh said that Chhattisgarh would give cent per cent contribution to achieve the target of ‘Mission 272’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party in this lok Sabha election.

He said, that this lok Sabha election would have the highest, widespread and positive effect of the 10-year work of the BJP Government in the State and the name of the party’s presidential candidate, Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister said that the Congress in Chhattisgarh is going though the most delicate time of segregation of its history, he added.

The Chief Minister stated that the people in the State have reposed faith on the BJP after seeing and understanding a decade of working of the party’s two terms and have given a chance to form Government for the third time in Chhattisgarh.

With the public welfare schemes of the BJP government, the way for progress and prosperity of all classes of the society has been opened in the State, the effect of which would be seen in the lok Sabha election also, he said

Singh claimed that in this election, the BJP would be in a situation to win all the 11 seats in the State. He said that during the last two lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won 10 out of 11 seats each, only one seat had lost that too would be won this time.

The Chief Minister said that in this lS election, the BJP has made the corruption and misrule of the UPA government at the Centre as the main poll plank.

Criticising the Congress manifesto, Singh said that the UPA government at the Centre is going through policy paralysis. Even after 10-year rule at the Centre, the Congress has included the same old promises in its manifesto. People would definitely not believe the Congress manifesto, he added.

On a question on Karuna Shukla, Singh said that she had left the BJP after serving it for 20-25 years, only on the reason of not giving ticket. He claimed that BJP would win the Bilaspur lS seat with huge majority from where she is contesting as a Congress candidate.
