The Election Commission (EC) has given training to officials and employees deployed for counting the votes and counting agents of candidates for the 16th lok Sabha polls for the Rajnandgaon lok Sabha seat on Wednesday.The counting is scheduled for Friday.
According to District Collector and Returning Officer P Dayanand, the preparations for the counting were complete. He instructed the officials and employees to be present at the venue at 6 am for randomization. The counting, he said, would commence at 8 am as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
He also said all those who were involved in the counting duty were issued photo identity cards and urged them to reach the venue with identity cards. Those without valid identity cards, he said would not be given entry. Similarly, use of cell phones in the counting hall, he said, was also strictly prohibited.
