A 15-year-old boy was feared drowned in Kharun River on Sunday morning . However his body could not be fished out so far, informed DD Nagar police. The boy had arrived Raipur from Nagpur on Sunday morning.
According to police Prafull Dekate (15) son of Baburao Dekate had entered into Kharun River for taking bath on Sunday morning. While taking bath, the teenager swam to waters and suddenly disppared . The locals informed DD Nagar police which rushed to the spot. The divers were called who are trying to locate body. However despite their repeated efforts they could not find the body till the filing of report.
“The divers are trying their best to find the body of boy,” said a DD Nagar police official. Meanwhile it was known that Dekate family sells glass items in temples and religious places and had reached Raipur on Sunday morning. Notably Kharun River is flooding heavily after torrential rain s which lashed city in during the past few days.
