A four-year-old girl has died of swine flu while undergoing treatment in Raipur.
She was undergoing treatment for pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and H1N1 virus (Influenza A). A death audit is being conducted, Dr Subhash Mishra, Director (Epidemic), said on Monday.
Mishra said the child was from Kabeerdham and was admitted in a private hospital in Raipur.
He said on Monday, contact tracing of the family members of the deceased in Kabirdham and neighbourhood was conducted. The report has been received, and no cases of swine flu were detected.
He said Chhattisgarh has recorded 28 cases of swine flu. All are undergoing treatment.
Mishra urged people who suffer from symptoms of swine flu to immediately seek medical help. This, he said, will help to save lives.
He also wanted everyone to follow the precautions related to Covid-19. Regular washing of hands, use of mask and keeping social distance can help, he added.
