Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal met Chairman of Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices Prof. Vijay Paul at his official residence in Raipur on Wednesday.
The Minister informed Paul about the various farming conditions prevailing in Chhattisgarh and the State Government schemes for the welfare of the farmers.
Agrawal suggested that for the welfare of the farmers, instead of just having a price policy for one crop, a permanent price policy should be formulated.
He urged the Central Government to provide assistance for opening Agri produce processing units and to enhance oilseeds and pulses crop production in the State.
