District Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale called a meeting here under the banner of Korba Action Plan to discuss issues regarding dumping of fly ash recently. At the meeting, Environment Conservation Officer RP Shinde directed officials to monitor the dumping of fly ash. The officials from various companies who attended the meeting were also directed to hold maintenance work of the chimneys. The officials were also directed to organise plantation drives campaigns in various areas so that pollution could be checked.
