Khunti police on Tuesday arrested Vikas Tuti in connection with illegal Pathhalgadi movement in Khunti district. The accused is accused of instigating villagers against government and the local administration and impeding development works.
Acting on the direction of Khunti SP a police team arrested Tuti from Jilinga village under the Khunti police station area.
Addressing media persons SDPO Kuldip Kumar said, “Tuti was think-tank of Pathhalgadi movement. He used to interpret Indian constitution wrongly before villagers in order to execute the illegal Pathhalgadi movement in the district”.
Police said five cases were registered against Tuti with the Khunti police station and one at Murhu police station in connection with his Pathhalgarhi activities in the past two years.
Kumar said Tuti was declared absconder in the cases adding his property was confiscated by police about two months back.
