Marriott International on Friday officially launched its five-star property Courtyard by Marriott in Raipur.
Courtyard by Marriott Raipur is the 14th property for the brand in India, and the second in Chhattisgarh joining Courtyard by Marriott, Bilaspur.
Neeraj Govil, Market Vice-President South Asia, Marriott International Inc. while interacting with media persons at the launching event here on Friday said that Raipur is the 14th hotel in Courtyard series and currently 40 hotels of the group are under construction.
“The group, apart from the strong presence in metro cities is also trying to link with two-tier cities and strengthen its presence pan-India,” Govil said.
Manish Tolani Area Director of Sales and Marketing South Asia said that in Raipur special focus will be on weddings and related functions. Additionally, the Corporate sector and government Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) will be also on our target segment, he said. Akhil Mathur, General Manager, Courtyard by Marriott, Raipur, said, "It is indeed a great honour to be present in this vibrant and constantly evolving city of Raipur. Keeping in mind the choices and travel habits of our guests, we have taken great care in designing this hotel to provide services and facilities that cater to their every need,” he said.
The Courtyard by Marriott Raipur has large guest suite in the city, at 699 square feet. The new room design is intuitive and thoughtful, offering flexible yet comfortable spaces that accommodate all technological needs, he said.
The new design also features a mobile desk on wheels, allowing guests to work from anywhere in the room. Each of the 96 rooms and 12 suites features high-speed wireless internet; lED TVs; a well-appointed work area with comfort lighting and ergonomic chairs, an iPod docking station; and a coffee machine, Mathur said.
