Spokesman of Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee Gudsa Usendi in a press release issued on Tuesday termed the death of Vidya Charan Shukla as the result of "vengeance of the exploited against the exploiters".
The Maoists' spokesman said that incident of May 25 was merely a reaction against the violence perpetrated by State forces on the innocent people in the name of Salwa Judum and Operation Green Hunt from the year 2009 onward.
According to Gudsa, to understand the retaliation of PlGA at Jeeram Valley, one will have to go through the vents occurred in Bastar during the last 10 years. He alleged that in 2003, the Congress Government of Chhattisgarh in collusion with the BJP Government ruling at the Centre had deployed paramilitary forces in Bastar to suppress the people's movement and paramilitary jawans had shot dead two innocent youths at Jimartarai near Koilibeda which was the first fake encounter by para military forces in the State, he claimed.
Since then, jawans of security forces as well as hoodlums of Salwa Judum committed innumerable crimes like burning villages, murder of innocent and rape of tribal women. The pain of these atrocities can be felt only after talking with Bastar women who are forced to suffer without any protest. Had the exploited masses not retaliated, their identity itself could have been vanished, Guda claimed.
