The Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Thursday arrested a truck driver and seized pulses (daal) husk worth Rs 20 lakh, police informed. The accused after taking pulses-husk stock from any trader used run away by changing number palates and later sold it in the black market.
The arrested accused was identified as Ashish Sharma he was nabbed with the truck. Dealing further DSP Crime BS Rathode informed that the accused had started from Durg for Raigarh with 20 tonnes of pulses and stock on November 2, however he sold most of the stock in between. later on the accused repeated the same thing with a stock originating from Ambikapur.
The accused was held from Gogaon with 17 tonnes of daal and 15 tonnes husk, police said.
