Chhattisgarh Police on Tuesday arrested a 26-year-old man for killing and burying his wife in a village in Raigarh district as he suspected her fidelity.
Raigarh Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena said Sonu Sonwani of Kalmidipa village killed Shanti Mahanand (26) by strangling her on Monday night.
On Tuesday, Sonwani went to the police station and confessed committing the crime. The police recovered the body and arrested Sonwani.
He told the police that they got married in April 2020 but he and his wife had frequent fights as he suspected her of having an illicit relationship.
