Chhattisgarh Police on Friday arrested a 40-year-old man for killing his minor daughter for talking to boys in a village in Raigarh district.
Raigarh Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena identified him as Shaniram Korwa of Kawai-Jamaragaa village.
On Thursday, Korwa lodged a case saying Champa (14) was missing. Her body was spotted on Thursday night near a pit in the village cremation grounds by locals.Korwa confessed to killing his daughter. He told the police that his elder daughter informed him that Champa was talking to some boy at the cremation ground on Monday night. He rushed there and beat his daughter with sticks to death. A court sent him to prison.
