The Central Crime Branch arrested a native of Mumbai for cheating a person in the name of getting job in America, police said on Sunday. The accused had promised getting job of $4,000 in a hotel at Ohio State of America.
According to police the accused was identified as Yusuf Jariwala alias Rahul Sharma (59) hailing from Anand Nagar, Dahesar West Mumbai. The accused few days back had reached Cafe chino restaurant in Magneto Mall and contacted the restaurant Manager Khaild Anjum Siddquie.
He told Siddique that he owns a hotel in Ohio State of America and was in search of a cook and Manager for his hotel. The accused offered Siddique a job for $4000 on green card. He also took Rs 7,000 advance for getting documents prepared.
Police further said in order to convince Siddique the accused even got medical examination done at Apollo BSR Hospital and asked him to fax his documents to Indian Embassy.
However Siddique had some doubt over the documents handed over him by the accused and Siddique informed Additional Superintended of Police (Crime) in this connection.
later on Yusuf Jariwala was rounded up and during cross-examination the entire fiasco was exposed.Police further said Jariwala was living in a hotel with fake id of Rahul Sharma. Police has registered case against Yusuf Jariwala for cheating.
