Chhattisgarh Police on Tuesday arrested a 28-year-old man from Bilaspur for cheating eight persons Rs 60.78 lakhs on the pretext of doubling their money through the share market.
Durg Superintendent of Police Shalabh Kumar Sinha identified him as Rajesh Chandrakar of Kabirdham district.
One of the complainants, Sarita Bansod, lodged a cheating case with the police on Monday.
Chandrakar confessed to cheating Bansod of Rs 7 lakhs. He said he also took money from seven others.
A court sent him to prison.
