Mahasamund independent MlA Vimal Chopra on Wednesday got beaten up in a cane-charge by police in Tumgaon while the MlA was staging a demonstration there.

“Two police personnel sustained serious head injuries in the action. On the orders of the SDM, police had to use force for deterring the protestors,” the ASP claimed.
