The Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) President Dr Charandas Mahant has welcomed the directives issued by the Election Commission on the issue of postal ballots.
In a statement here, Dr Mahant said that the directives would now help the counting process to be conducted in an impartial manner. It may be mentioned here that the Congress party National Treasurer Motilal Vora had met Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath in New Delhi the other day and had discussed the issue of postal ballots for the Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh with him.
