Employees and officials will have to work dedicatedly for the success of ‘lok Suraj Abhiyan’ and any negligence in work during the campaign will not be tolerated, stated Bilaspur District Collector Anbalagan P. on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference, the Collector said complaint against officials and employees during the campaign will be dealt with sternly after undertaking necessary investigation.
He further said that along with disposal of public grievances, people will be encouraged for making their village Open Defecation Free and water conservation during lok Suraj Abhiyan. On the occasion, people in regions reeling under drought will be motivated to opt for water conservation.
For conservation of monsoon water, all Government offices including Panchayat buildings, will be equipped with rain water harvesting system, said the Collector, adding that directives in this connection have been given to concerned officials.
To highlight the importance and benefits of organic farming and zero budget agriculture, a two-day seminar will be organized in Devkinandan auditorium, he said.
