Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal on Wednesday said that a conspiracy has been hatched to malign his image and that of his family members in the matter pertaining to allegations of his wife buying a forest land to set up a resort.
“I am in politics and not my family. They (family members) are doing business to earn a living and nobody should point a finger at them only because I have a political career, he said while addressing a news conference here.
We have all the documental proof of revenue records and there is no irregularity in purchase of land, he said adding, “I have also declared the said land in the income details of family during the last Assembly polls”.
Why this matter has been raised in 2017 even though the land was purchased in the year 2009, he asked.
The land seller himself has given statement in government records that he was selling the land for making a living, Agrawal said.
