After the formal announcement that Bhupesh Baghel would be the next Chief Minister of state, jubilations started all over from Congress state headquarters Rajiv Bhawan in Raipur to Padum Nagar based residence of Baghel in steel city Bhilai.
Thousands of his supporters who were anxiously waiting for the announcement of his election as a Congress Legislative Party leader began celebrations in Raipur as well as at his residence in Bhilai. Firecrackers were burst and jubilant supporters danced to the tune of drumbeat soon after the confirmation on Sunday afternoon.
The supporters of Baghel camped at his official residence C-2 in Shanti Nagar and at Padum Nagar in Bhilai-3. As the formal declaration was made they started exchanging sweets and hugging each other to celebrate the moment.
Later state guest house ‘Pahuna’ in state capital was made makeshift residence of Baghel where legislators as well as supporters of Baghel all over the state gathered to greet him.
