Jindal Power limited (JPl), a wholly owned subsidiary of Jindal Steel and Power limited (JSPl), has won the National Safety Award from the National Safety Council of India; for developing and implementing effective occupational health and safety management systems and processes.
Union Minister for labour & Employment, Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar conferred the National Award to JPl – Tamnar, which was represented by JPl Executive Director Ramniwas and Head (Safety) Shiv Kumar Singh; in a ceremony held in Mumbai recently, a company press release issued here on Saturday stated. On this notable achievement, Ravi Uppal, MD & Group CEO, JSPl, said - “JPl prides itself on the sound occupational health and safety practices embedded in the Company. We are pleased to receive this prestigious award from the National Safety Council of India.”
