Rashtriya Lok Dal national president Jayant Chaudhary will be on a whirlwind tour of western Uttar Pradesh districts from October and will be addressing 18 public rallies there, setting in motion the party’s poll campaign.
Giving this information to newsmen, RLD national secretary Anil Dubey said Jayant Chaudhary would start the poll campaign by seeking the blessings of the people in the west UP.
He said the tour, named Jan Ashirwad tour, would focus on the issues of the three anti-farmers bills, minimum support price (MSP) guarantee, increase in state advisory price (SAP) of sugarcane and payment of arrears of sugarcane farmers.
“The campaign will start from October 6 and Jayant Chaudhary will seek blessing from the public for UP assembly elections in 2022 and will expose the Bharatiya Janata Party’s faulty policies,” he said.
Dubey said Jayant Chaudhary would attend the Kisan Jagriti Diwas, a meeting being organised to pay tributes to farmers’ leader Mahendra Singh Tikait on his anniversary on October 6 in Sisauli in Muzaffarnagar.
He said the RLD chief would then go to Noorpur in Hapur, the birthplace of Chaudhary Charan Singh and Khair in Aligarh on October 7 and later cover the rest of the districts.
