The Janjgir-Champa district has the largest number of country liquor shops at 47 in the State, the Chhattisgarh Assembly was informed on Wednesday.
In a written reply to Congress member Deepak Baij, Commercial tax and excise Minister Amar Agrawal presented the district-wise data of country liquor shops which is as follows-Raipur 27, Baloda Bazar 21, Gariaband 8, Durg, 36, Bemetara, 11, Balod 1, Rajnandgaon 16, Kabeerdham 17, Dhamtari 18, Mahasamund 24, Kanker 5, Bastar 2, Kondagaon 2, Dantewada 1, Sukma 2, Bijapur 2, Narayanpur 1, Bilaspur 44, Mungeli 10, Korba 20, Raigarh 28, Jashpur 4, Surguja 1, Balrampur 0, Surajpur 3 and Koriya 15.
