People living in remote villages in Chhattisgarh now have access to clean drinking water in their homes thanks to the tap water connections given under the Jal Jeevan Mission, an official statement said on Saturday.
This mission ensures that people can easily obtain clean drinking water without any inconvenience. This has led to increased awareness about the importance of clean drinking water and good health.
Among the beneficiaries is 74-year-old Laxmi Bai of Pandaripani village in Korba district.
She said that in the past she had to go to a hand pump to fetch water for her daily needs.
There, she often had to wait in long queues to fill her containers.
She said that life has become much easier with the availability of drinking water at her home.
She has expressed her gratitude to the government for providing the water connection.
