As per schedule issued by Election Commission of India (ECI) for special revision of electoral roll 2019, the integrated electoral rolls with photographs have been published in all the districts of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday.
This is considering the revision date line as January 1, 2019, officials informed.
The published integrated electoral rolls have been put for public viewing on the notice board at office of District Collector, all Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), all civic bodies, all Tehsil offices and all Gram panchayats.
As per the notification, those youth who have attained age of 18 years as on January 1, 2019 can add their name to electoral roll. Those electors having shifted their place of residence can also include details as per their areas of present residence while deceased electors’ name can be deleted.Till January 25, 2019, the electors can submit their claim and objection on it for registering their names in the electoral roll.
The claims and objections would be resolved on February 11, 2019.
The data-base would be updated and supplementary electoral roll will be published. The final revised electoral roll will be published on February 22, 2019.
Meanwhile, State Chief Electoral Officer Subrat Sahoo has appealed to the citizens to add their names in the electoral roll and ensure that maximum new voters’ names are added in the electoral roll.
