SR

The State police have failed to trace the father-son duo - lalit Agrawal and Pankaj Agrawal, accused in the illegal sale of iron rods marked with forged SAIl mark. Police are searching for their call details. According to information, it has become quite difficult to search for their call details as they have several mobile numbers.

According to sources, Gudiyari and Urla police have seized large quantity of illegal iron rods marked with SAIl worth crores from Pankaj Ispat limited at Gogaon and Alankar Alloys situated at Borjhara. Besides, police have seized computer, hard disc and records from their offices.

It is being investigated that to which parties these companies have supplied the SAIl marked iron roads and from when this illegal business has been going on.

However the Gudiyari and Urla police have registered cases against the businessmen lalit and Pankaj Agrawal under various clauses including cheating. Soon after unearthing the cheating case, the father-son duo went underground, police sources said.

According to the sources, both the accused were contacting the officials of the companies and their near and dear ones through different mobile phones.

When contacted, Urla police station in-charge Purnima lamba said that police were doing their work and she could not part with the confidential information, as it would affect the investigation.
