The campus of IIM-Raipur transformed into a blood donation camp organised by its Corporate Social Responsibility club called Kartavya. Students from all over the city lined up throughout the day to donate their blood to the Red Cross Blood Bank on Thursday.
This was the second phase of the event. The first part was conducted in association with Magneto Mall on the Aids Day on 1st December 2013. It received a huge response from the people of Raipur with a total contribution of 103 units of blood. The second phase was conducted in the premises of IIM Raipur. Students, faculty and the staff participated wholeheartedly to support the cause.
Around 75 volunteers came forward to donate their blood. The weight, blood pressure and haemoglobin of each participant was checked before allowing them to donate the blood. They staff followed all prescribed standards and provided due refreshments and glucose to the volunteers. The event was overall a huge success.
