Hem Krishna Rathore, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Chhattisgarh cadre on Tuesday was chosen for President's Police Medal for his distinguished service.The IPS officer will receive the award on the eve of Republic Day on January 26 at a function to be held in New Delhi. Joining service in 1983, Rathore has since served as Additional Superintendent of Police and AdditionalTransport Commissioner and held several other key posts.Rathore is presently posted as IGP, CID, in Police Headquarters in Naya Raipur.
