If Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) (JCC) (J) alliance forms Government in Chhattisgarh after the Assembly polls, Ajit Jogi will be made the Chief Minister of the State, BSP Supremo Mayawati said on Saturday.

“The former Chief Minister (Ajit Jogi) was ill treated by the Congress party. He (Jogi) is an able administrator and an ally of BSP who will be made Chief Minister,” she said.

Making a call in the joint and maiden public meeting of BSP and JCC (J) here, BSP supremo Mayawati while attacking the ruling BJP government in Chhattisgarh said that target should be for the alliance to achieve majority in the upcoming polls.

“The ruling BJP Government in the State is ‘anti-Dalit’ and 'anti-Tribal', so everyone has to stay together and work. Everyone has to fulfill the dreams of Guru Baba Ghasidas, Dr B R Ambedkar and Kanshiram”, she said.

Chhattisgarh remains backward as development has not taken place as there exists ‘no Government’ and people of the State are being overlooked,”  Mayawati said.

She cited the BJP-led NDA Government’s move at the Centre on Demonetisation, GST, employment generation as failures.

Mayawati said: “Wherever the BJP government exists; people have become victims of neglect. The  BJP promised Rs 15 lakh in each bank account with unearthing of black money but corruption still exists. Nor has the farmer’s income doubled.”

All citizens were affected by demonetisation and GST which also impacted the Indian economy, she said.

Mob lynching has become a daily affair where tribals and poor are being targetted, Mayawati said.

Mayawati said that the BJP has to be erased from the country as it is doing politics in name of religion .

“One has to keep religion out of politics. The party’s cadre should not get distracted by poll surveys. On Congress party, she said that it has been spreading rumours that BSP in fear of CBI probe has not gone with Congress which is totally incorrect.
