Security forces recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitions stored in a steel trunk from Kachlaram village of the district on Wednesday. In a similar search operation conduced on July 2 arms and ammunitions dumped by Maoists were seized from village Konjed in the district.
As per official information received from the office of Superintendent of Police Bijapur Prashant Agrawal security forces were conducting search operation in the jungles of Kachlaram from where they dug out a metal box kept buried in the jungle.
The arms included, a 12 hand grenade, 14 hand grenade shift pin, electric wire 4 bundle, and nut pots. In a similar operation conducted on July 2 police recovered 99 live round of SlR rifle, 89 rounds of 315 bore gun, detonators, soldering machine, 1 ammunition charger, 5 kg ammonium Nitrate, torch with 5 cell and other items from Konjed village in the district.
