Chhattisgarh's labour Minister Bhaiyalal Rajwade met Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and requested her to take necessary steps for bringing back 22 labourers hailing from State’s Janjgir-Champa district who are presently held in Malaysia.
The Foreign Minister informed Rajwade that the Government of India was in touch with Malaysian government and Indian embassy in Malaysia.
She assured that Government of India would undertake all steps for ensuring safe return of labourers back home.
Rajwade informed Swaraj that as per information with Government of Chhattisgarh, the labourers have been held in an industrial unit located in Kuala lumpur-- the capital city of Malaysia. The labourers through phone call had informed their relatives about their condition.
