Modifying its calendar, the Chhattisgarh High Court in Bilaspur on Thursday decided to do away with the summer vacation this year that was scheduled from May 18 to June 12.
This follows the Covid-19 pandemic which forced the court to remain closed on many days.
The Registrar General of the High Court also instructed subordinate courts to consider the earlier declared summer vacation as working days.
“Barring already declared holidays, rest of the days during the vacation period shall be treated as working days,” an official order said.
