The State Government on Tuesday served show cause notice on Additional Collector AK Agrawal of Mungeli.
As per the information received from GAD, Agrawal, who was working as joint collector Raigarh, was posted as additional collector Mungeli on July 27, 2013, after giving timescale to him from senior grade to selection grade.
Collector Raigarh had relieved him on August 13, but he did not join his new assignment and gone on leave.On getting instructions from Government level, he took over charge of additional collector Mungeli on September 11, and then again proceeded on leave.
This act of the officer has been affecting the administrative works related to assembly election preparations. The general administration department, considering the absence of Agrawal unauthorized, served show cause notice on him, seeking clarification within seven days. On not getting clarification from Agrawal, disciplinary action would be taken against him.
