The Congress has criticised the State Government for overlooking the security of Central Government organisations as well as common man in the State claiming that no one is safe in Chhattisgarh.
Reacting to the Maoist attack on Bastar Doordarshan Kendra in which 3 constables of Chhattisgarh Armed Forces were killed, Congress party’ media cell in-charge Shailesh Nitin Trivedi on Sunday said that the BJP Government has hardly any care about the
safety of public as well as Central Government organisations like Akashwani and Doordarshan centre.
He charged that while the Chief Minister has ensured NSG Commando protection for himself, security and safety of common man, security forces as well as State Government officials deployed in Bastar have been left to the mercy of god. They have to face bloodshed every day.
Trivedi charged that though the State Government succeeded in taking out Vikas Yatra on the strength of paramilitary forces, and the jawans of State police force, but Bastar has had only violence, insecurity and destruction in its share.
Taking a dig at the slack security arrangements at the Akashwani Kendra, Trivedi alleged that while Maoists were able to kill 3 cops by entering the DD premises located along the National highway, in the same Marenga colony lives the Bharatiya Janata Party MlA Baiduram Kashyap, but as the Government has neither any concern for security of
common man nor for the development, it is trying just to be-fool the public in the name of announcing development projects just to take political advantage in polls,
Trivedi added.
