Under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana of State Government’s Women and Child Development Department, amount of financial aid for marriage of drought-affected farmers’ daughters has been hiked from Rs15,000 to Rs30,000 each.
Women and Child Development department has issued orders for amendment in Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana recently.
Drought-affected farmers will receive Rs30,000 as financial aid under the scheme for marriage of their daughters. This amount will be directly transferred by Collector of respective district to the bank account of drought-affected farmer.
This scheme will be implemented for one year, i.e. from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.
