Staff Reporter

Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale while addressing the Shala Pravesh Utsav (School Admission Festival) organised at the Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Residential School in Sendripali village, said “parents do everything possible to their children, but it is responsibility of the children to study well and get success in life.”She said that the children need to work hard to get success in life. “The path is open for them to become Doctor, Engineer, Collector or any other professional as they like with dedication and hard work.”

Through education they can succeed in life and become pride for their village. The Government is supplying free books, uniforms and cycles to the students,” Kangale said. The Collector, who was the special guest of the function, further said that it is through education the children come to know the path of success and recognise their rights and duties towards the society. She asked the villagers to ensure that their children reach school daily.  Kangale said special attention should be given for the education of girls, because, when a girl is educated, a family is educated, but when a boy is educated one individual is educated.

An educated girl can successfully play the role of a woman and make the children get good education, she said.District Panchayat member Pushpa Kanwar was the chief guest of the function. District Panchayat CEO Vikas Sandipal Bhoskar said it was the responsibility of teachers to impart education to the children and ensure their all-round development. During the function, 27 students were given admission in class VI, 15 in class 9 and 10 and 17 in primary school. The children were welcomed by applying ‘Tilak’ on their forehead and were given sweets. The new students were given free uniform, school bags, textbooks and other study materials. Kangale later inspected the 100-seat Girls’ hostel and directed the officer concerned for the construction of boundary wall and to arrange security guard for the premises.
