Around four people including a Health Department official sustained minor injuries after a rashly driver car collided with a multi utility vehicle (MUV) in which they were travelling at Mantralaya Chowk on Monday evening.
“The incident happened when Dr RK Bhuarya of Health Department posted as Project Officer in Rajanandgaon was coming towards Raipur after attending departmental meetings at Indravati Bhawan at the Mantralaya complex,” Station House Officer Rakhi Police Station Mathura Singh said.
Some unidentified youths coming from behind in a Hyundai Verna car dashed the Mahindra Bolero in which Dr Bhuarya was travelling along with his subordinates, the SHO said adding after the incident, the youths left the car at the spot and fled.
Dr Bhuarya and others have received minor injuries, the SHO said adding police has registered a case in this regard and have begun investigations.
