The State Government has directed district collectors to form teams for issuance of new ration cards in the rural and urban areas under ‘Chhattisgarh Food Security law 2012’.
The directive had made it mandatory to include the patwaris and health workers in the work for issuance of new ration cards .The families which hold the ration cards under 'Chief Minister Foodgrain Assistance Programme' need not apply for new ration cards under ‘Chhattisgarh Food Security law 2012’, it stated.
