The Election Commission on Friday underlined the need for error free electoral roll and maximum registration of voters in Chhattisgarh.
An EC delegation visiting the state reviewed the preparation for the coming assembly elections with 33 district Collectors and Superintendents of Police.
The delegation also called for providing basic amenities in the polling booths and other essentials during voting day.
The Collectors gave a presentation on preparations. The delegation studied the security required and the availability of security personnel to ensure free and fair polls.
The delegation also met Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja and other senior officials.
