South East Central Railway (SECR) divisional railway manager (DRM, Raipur), Rajeev Saxena on Saturday took stock of passenger facilities and other arrangements at railway stations between Raipur and Dadhapara.

DRM’s visit aimed to ensure preparations ahead of SECR General Manager, Naveen Tandon’s annual inspection of Raipur division scheduled next week. Saxena, who was accompanied by all the branch officers and senior officials concerned, closely monitored facilities being offered to passengers at different railway stations.

He held a discussion with the officials concerned regarding development of passenger facilities and issued appropriate instructions in this regard. As Dadhapara is first railway station of Raipur division, Saxena stressed on paying extra attention to check passenger facilities here. He asked the officials concerned to maintain high standard of cleanliness and sanitation at this railway station.

later, DRM reviewed progress of Shivnath Bridge being constructed on Shivnath River along with Chakkarbhata railway crossing gate and learnt about its technical aspects from the officials concerned. During his visit at Bhatapara and Tilda Railway Station, Saxena talked to media-persons and answered their questions regarding expansion of passenger facilities.

On the occasion, a delegation from traders’ association handed over a memorandum to DRM, apprising him about their various demands.
