Dr RK Gupta who was arrested following death of 13 women in sterilisation camp held in Bilaspur district was granted bail by the Chhattisgarh High Court here on Thursday. Dr Gupta has been granted bail and is presently admitted in Apollo hospital, Superintendent of Police Bilaspur Abhishek Meena informed.
Dr Gupta was arrested from Baloda Bazar following deaths of women after they had undergone sterilisation surgery held in Bilaspur district at Nemi Chand Jain Hospital near Sakri village on November 8. A Judicial inquiry has already been ordered by Chief Minister Raman Singh on the incident.
