In a meeting with the teachers of Delhi Public School (DPS), Raipur presided over by a panel of management members, the Pro Vice Chairman, Baldeo Singh Bhatia announced the rolling out of salary according to 7th Pay Commission for the teachers which would be effective from the month of April, 2017, a DPS Press release informed.

While reading out an overview of the annual report, the Principal, Raghunath Mukherjee drew the attention of the management members on the humanitarian empowerment of the school.

He thanked the General Secretary Vijay Shah for allowing a crippled but intelligent student to take admission in Class XI as he became such a cynosure of the school that he did not require the help of any peon to be wheeled into any classroom or washroom as his classmates and friends were more than eager to help him out.

likewise he quoted examples of students who came forward to help the people of Nardaha, a village in the vicinity of the school, through ‘SWEAR’ (Society of Welfare Encouragement Association Revamp) activities, of a student who celebrated her birthday with the peons and maids of the school, of many teachers supporting the education of peon’s / maid’s children and other welfare activities thereby indicating how an aura of holistic progress was taking a firm foothold in the school.

Seeing the tagline of the school, ‘We value our values’ shaping up as envisioned, Pro Vice Chairman endorsed the school as an exemplary institution that is treading its path in making students culturally and empathetically conscious.

Shah, too applauded the teachers’ effort in building the school brick by brick. The teachers who received certificate for 100% attendance during the session 2016-17 were P. Kalyanaraman,  Beena T. Biju, , S. Sivasankari,  Elsa R. Mathew,  Jhumur Biswas,  Santosh Jethwani,  Sunita Mishra and Kiran Shivhare.

On congratulating the teachers for their 100% attendance, he quipped, “The number should increase from 10 to 100, only then can we envisage a growth in our status from first in Chhattisgarh to first in India.” Agreeing on the status quo of the school, even  Pukhraj Jain, Senior Member of the management committee, asserted, “A mere 10% more can accentuate our climb to the top.”
