District Collector Siddharth Komal Pardeshi has asked all the Sector officers appointed for the upcoming Assembly polls in the district to make a thorough study of the ‘Model Code of Conduct.
Addressing the Sector Officers at the Red Cross Building here on Sunday, Pardeshi said that Sector officers serve as a link between the District Polling Officer and the Poll team. The Sector Officer also acts as a ‘Master Trainer’ and apprises the Election Commission about any disputes emerging during the polling process, he said.
Conduct of free and fair polls forms the basis of any democratic system, Pardeshi said.
