Divisional Commissioner Sonmoni Borah said that differently-abled persons will be provided training under various Government schemes. He said that financial assistance would be provided to the differently abled persons to engage in sustainable income generation activities. In a meeting held here at the Collectorate, Borah had asked officials to conduct a survey for identifying differently abled persons in all the districts of the division.
The officers have been directed to work out strategies to identify appropriate employment and entrepreneurial activities to each based on their family background and physical capabilities. He also asked the officers to launch a drive for saving water in the division.
