The forthcoming state-wide ‘Vikas Yatra’ of Chief Minister Raman Singh which commences on May 6 would reach Dhamtari on May 9. During the tour of Dhamtari district, the CM would carry out inauguration and bhoomi pujan of different development works.
In a meeting held at the District Collectorate here on Friday, Secretary, Education Department and In-charge Secretary of Dhamtari district Dinesh Srivastava reviewed various preparations being done for the CM’s Vikas Yatra. During the meeting, Srivastava directed officials to earmark venues for the CM’s road show programme and the public meeting to be held by him and make necessary arrangements at the venues. He also directed officials to make arrangements for ensuring sufficient supply of drinking water and also protection from the summer heat besides the necessary power supply required at the venue.
The Secretary directed that the roads through which the Vikas Rath is expected to pass must be maintained and repaired besides asking officials to make all necessary arrangements for the distribution of items under various welfare schemes to the beneficiaries and at the venue where the CM would carry out inauguration and bhoomi pujan of the development works.
The District Collector NS Mandavi present in the meeting said that an ambulance to be made available by the Health Department will move alongwith the road show.
