Director General of Police (DGP) AN Upadhyay on Thursday convened a meeting with officers entrusted with responsibility of VIP security in the State.
In the review meeting, detailed discussion to reinforce the VIP security arrangement was held here at police headquarters on Wednesday.During the meeting, the DGP discussed in length the existing security arrangements, possible improvement, perceived problems and their solutions. Necessary directives were also issued by the DGP for improving the system.
He called upon the officers for reviewing the security practices in their areas on a regular basis and ensuring of total security with better coordination.AIG Sanjay Sharma in the meeting informed the DGP about the shortcomings in CM’s security and also suggested solutions.AIG KC Agrawal also presented a detailed account of duties performed by officers assigned the VIP security responsibilities.
The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police (Raipur) GP Singh, who is also officer In-charge for VIP security, Additional IG (AIG) KC Agrawal, Superintendent, Chief Minister’s Security Kl Motwani, Secretariat Security Officer KS Choudhary, Governor House Security Officer Gyanendra Awasthi and other Gazetted Nodal officers.
