The condition of Deepak Karma, son of late Congress leader and Salwa Judum founder Mahendra Karma who was bitten by a venomous snake while sleeping in his house at Farspal village in Bastar on Sunday is stable now but not still out of danger, doctors attending to him at the Ramakrishna Care Hospital here informed.
Dr Sandeep Dave, Medical Director of Ramkrishna Care Hospital told The Pioneer over phone that Karma’s condition was stable. ‘However it will take about 2 to 3 days for him to come out of danger,’ he said. Deepak Karma is presently Nagar Panchayat President of Dantewada and was bitten by a ‘Krait’ at his residence in Farspal.
He was then rushed to the Dantewada district hospital from where the doctors referred him first to the Medical College in Jagdalpur and was then airlifted to Raipur on Sunday when his condition deteriorated.
