Data bank of each Government employee of each village of all the districts of Bastar division will be prepared and on the basis of it election duty of Government employees would be decided during the forthcoming election process.
In this regard, all the collectors and district election officers of the division have been urged to prepare the soft copy of the data bank of all the officers and employees at
district, tehsil, block and village level comprising their basic information centred on their name, designation, place of posting, institution, mobile number etc.
According to an official press statement issued here on Saturday, patwaris, teachers, anganbadi workers, panchayat secretary, health workers, field staff of agriculture department and all other employees posted at village level would be included in the preparation of the data bank.
The new Bastar divisional commissioner RP Jain, at his first collectors’ conference held at the divisional headquarters on Thursday urged all the district collectors, chief executive officers and sub divisional officers associated with construction and development works to discharge their duties with utmost sensitivity in the coming days. He told them to speed up the on-going development works before starting the process of election work, to start the works which has already been sanctioned and to make strenuous efforts to complete all incomplete works.
In view of the election year, the divisional commissioner asked all the collectors and district election officers to repair immediately all the polling booths which have already been allocated at schools, panchayat offices etc and need repair, in all the districts. The commission has also reviewed the works of voter identity card and said to speed up the work.
