Chief Minister Raman Singh's announcement of hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) was on Wednesday immediately implemented by the Finance Department at the Mantralaya here. The CM had granted an additional installment of six per cent DA to the State Government employees. The installment is from retrospective effect of July 1, 2015, officials stated.
The DA is now at present 119 per cent from the earlier 113 per cent. It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Raman Singh had taken this step after the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, officials stated.
An order to this effect was released on Tuesday by the Revenue Department to all the District Collectors and other concerned department officers.
The State Government has ordered for the payment of DA in cash. The DA is calculated on the basis of Basic Pay.
