In a bid to ensure uninterrupted power supply in power grid, second load Dispatch Centre (lDC) of Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company limited (CSPTCl) commenced operation at 400 KVA Sub Station of Khedamara here on Tuesday.

One lDC of the company is already functioning at its headquarters in Dangania Raipur and as per the parameters of Western Region Power Committee (WRPC) the second lDC was mandatory, an official press release informed.

With installation of the new lDC the management of power transmission could now be done in emergency situation. All the power transmission lines in the country have been integrated with a single grid and for monitoring of it the Chhattisgarh state had now developed two lDCs, it informed.

The second lDC as a backup centre was successfully initiated in Khedamara on Tuesday. The new lDC would ensure uninterrupted power supply in case of natural calamities too.

A total of 11, 556 circuit kilometers of high tension lines are laid for power transmission all over the state and in a bid to maintain effective flow of current lDCs are established.

As per parameters each state must have at least two lDC and the state achieved this target with establishment of Khedamara lDC on Tuesday.

In difficult situations like that of natural calamity the backup lDC is desperately needed and with that objective CSPTCl has established it in Khedamara. A testing was done on Monday under leadership of Managing Director of the CSPTCl Tripti Sinha and in presence of Executive Director Balram Soni.
