Separate roadshows of well-known film artists and Congress leaders Nagma and Raveena Tandon on Monday in favour of Congress candidate Satyanarayan Sharma in Raipur brought out hundreds of people on to the streets.
Nagma arrived here at 11 am and drove to the State Congress party headquarters directly from the airport. She held roadshow at Fawara chowk, Byron bazar, Nurani Chowk, Raja Talab, Chandani Chowk, Nehru Nagar, Madrasa Chowk, Baijnath Para, Nayapara Dabri, and Tatyapara and Muslim populated area of the city.
large number of people including women and children thronged to have a glimpse of the popular cine artists. The road traffic came to a grinding halt bringing inconvenience to the commuters. Nagma appealed to the people to vote in favour of Congress.
Raveena arrived at about 2 pm and drove to the election office of Congress candidate Satyanarayan Sharma. Before she came out of her car, a large crowd of supporters and fans had already surrounded her vehicle.
Reporters also attempted to speak to her. The place witnessed such a surging crowd that it triggered a traffic jam. Tandon waved to Congress workers and fans and appealed them to vote for Congress.

Raveena’s road show passed through Jaistambh Chowk, Kotwali Chowk, Sadar Bazar, Kankali Para, Purani Basti, lakhe nagar, Aama Para, Ajad Chowk, Tatyapara, Ram Sagar Para, Station Chowk, Gurudwar, Guru Nanak Chowk, MG Road and Sarada Chowk.
